The Levitation mod for Half-Life Alyx adds 4 hours of single player play. Great gameplay and levels.
Half-Life continues to delight millions of fans. If they now seem to have resigned themselves to the fact that a third opus will one day appear, this does not prevent other fans from suggesting new content. For example, with Half-Life Alyx to (in a new way) discover the game in virtual reality. And today new content for this opus is coming out.
Levitation mod for Half-Life Alyx adds 4 hours of single player
Two years after the release of Half-Life, Alyx remains a unique virtual reality experience. Therefore, it is not surprising that many players want more. Always more. Until Valge announces a sequel – which could take years if it ever happens – the modding community is working hard to provide fans with new content. Luckily, Levitation, the new single-player mod for Half-Life Alyx, not only expands on Valve’s original story, but also offers very, very good gameplay.
Great gameplay and levels
This free mod offers three to four hours of additional content with new voice acting and new animations. At the time of this writing, Levitation has a perfect five-star rating from 699 reviews, with many players praising the work of FMPONE’s level designer. This positive response is all the more important given that Levitation was only announced last April. Without revealing too much of the story, the mod shows the player being sent to the mysterious Section X of City 17 to investigate a levitating building where two members of the Resistance have disappeared.
You can download Levitation by subscribing to the mod through its Workshop page. After installing Part 1, Steam will automatically download the other four parts as you play. Note: You will need a copy of Half-Life Alyx and a compatible VR headset to use this mod.
