Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said:

For fourteen seasons, NCIS: LA has been the backbone of our programming with characters we love to watch. From day one, the cast, producers and crew have become great partners and their teamwork, talent and spirit shine on screen. We are so grateful for the cooperation and wonderful journey of these valuable members of the CBS family, and we intend to give them and their fans the farewell they deserve.

The End of NCIS: Los Angeles for CBS

Unlike parent series NCIS, which remained in its original Tuesday timeslot for nearly two decades until it was recently moved to Monday, NCIS: Los Angeles has been a fixture on the CBS program, moving seven times over 14 seasons. The series averaged 6.06 million viewers and is the most watched program on Sunday at 10:00 pm. Since the start of the season, the new episodes have garnered over 591 million potential social media views, with over 4.2 billion minutes watched by Americans (through January 15).

NCIS Executive Producer and Showrunner: Los Angeles R. Scott Gemmill added:

I would like to thank the channel and the studio for their partnership and support over the years; Shane Brennan for providing us with such a great playground; and my partners John P. Kusakis, Frank Military, Kyle Harimoto and Andrew Bartels for their tireless efforts and collaboration episode after episode. Our team has become like a family and their hard work and dedication has been essential to our success year after year. My deepest gratitude to the actors who brought our characters to life through their passionate performances – thank you for your talent, professionalism and continued enthusiasm. And thanks to our dedicated viewers who loved our characters and followed their journeys.
