Mark Surman, Executive Director of the Mozilla Foundation, said:

Artificial intelligence is obviously one of the topics that will be celebrated in 2023. This technology is forcing us to rethink not only how we think about the Internet, but also about communication, creativity and society in general. If it caused excitement, then there are concerns about it. And while the next wave of AI has great potential, especially for improving society, this will only be possible if the interests of the individual and users are put at the forefront, and transparency and accountability become a priority. We are currently at a turning point in the field of artificial intelligence, which provides a real opportunity to create technologies with different values, new results and a better model.
