The first season of MultiVersus has already begun, and it already features a powerful roster of characters from iconic franchises. From the official site, we can understand that Black Adam and Striped are two new characters, but when will they actually appear in MultiVersus? Release date known? Here’s everything we know so far.
When will Black Adam & Stripe be released in MultiVersus?
The official release date for Black Adam & Stripe in MultiVersus is not yet known, but there are serious speculations that may turn out to be true. Black Adam is an upcoming DC movie that will release worldwide on October 21, 2022. Since Game x Movie crossovers have become commonplace these days, there’s a good chance that Black Adam will hit MultiVersus in late September or early October. A striped character from the black comedy horror film Gremlins, which means it could be a Halloween-themed release. There is a chance that Stripe will be released in mid-October. We will update this article when official information becomes available.
Who is Black Adam? (MultiVersus character)
Black Adam has appeared in the game before and this is Injustice, but this one seems to be a well-executed version of the character. He is an antihero played by Dwayne the Rock Johnson in the 2022 film.
Black Adam was born as Teth-Adam, the young prince of Kandak. He was chosen as the first champion to bestow his powers. If you’re familiar with the 2019 movie Shazam!, then you might be familiar with the powers that champions receive. But unlike Billy Batson (who received the powers of the Greek gods), through a series of events, Teth-Adam was blessed with the powers of the Egyptian gods. Thus, his powers come from the gods Shu (S), Heru (H), Amun (A), Zehuti (Z), Aten (A), and Mekhen (M). He gained the stamina of Shu, the speed of Heru, the strength of Amun, the wisdom of Zehuti, the strength of Atonm, and the courage of Mekhen.
Tet-Adam was a worthy defender until the bandits killed his wife and child. He then sought any means to bring justice to the people of the earth, who reluctantly released the Seven Deadly Sins, destroyed millions of lives, and thus became evil in the process. He was imprisoned for 5,000 years and recently escaped.
Who is Streep? (MultiVersus character)
As you might have guessed from the cover of the first season of MultiVersus, Stripe is a character in the 1984 film Gremlins. Many Millenials and Genz players may not be aware of Stripe, but here’s a brief description. He is a smarter and scarier version of the gremlins, mischievous and evil in equal measure. In case you’re wondering how Stripe turned into a gremlin, he’s basically one of the five Mogwais that were born after water from a brush jar was spilled on Gizmo. Stripe is called Stripe because of the white strand of hair in the middle of his head.
Mogwais should not be exposed to sunlight because they will die. If you spill water on them, they will spawn more Mogwais. And don’t feed them after midnight or they’ll turn into gremlins.
