E3 2022 will not take place in physics. The organizers have just announced it. Will there still be an online version?
For video game fans, E3 is an annual event to look forward to. And this is completely justified, since this is the largest gaming event in the world. Many companies in the industry are taking the opportunity to announce new hardware, new games, game development updates, and more. Most often, the event is organized in physics, but in recent years this has not been possible. What about the 2022 edition?
E3 2022 will not take place in physics
If you were hoping that E3 2022 would be different as the vaccinated population continues to grow, there is unfortunately bad news. In a statement to GamesBeat, E3 organizers confirmed that this year’s physical event has been canceled due to the pandemic.
According to organizers, “Due to the ongoing risks associated with Covid-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and visitors, E3 will not be held physically in 2022. We are very excited about the future of E3 and look forward to announcing more details very soon.”
The organizers just announced it
The move goes against many other physics events that are being updated here and there, such as CES 2022, which ends today. E3 organizers canceled the physical event in 2022 and then said there would not even be an online event. The situation changed last year, E3 2021 could be held entirely online.
As for whether E3 2022 will take place virtually, the organizers have not explicitly confirmed the matter, but have said they are “thrilled at the possibilities of the online event.”
