There are many “secret” keyboard shortcuts on YouTube

YouTube, like a number of other sites, has a list of hotkeys. Some are well known, others are not. Small list.

Keyboard shortcuts are easy to find when you use the app on a Mac or PC. When viewing a function in a menu, the corresponding key combination is often indicated. This keyboard shortcut often allows you to see a list of shortcuts on your favorite sites. Moreover, often we unintentionally discover this list or one or another of the labels. You probably know some of them: K starts playback or pauses, J and L go forward or backward. Some of them are less known. You can advance frame by frame after pausing the video with “,”and “.”. You can also slow down or speed up playback with “<“and “>”(Shift +, and Shift +.).

Many sites hide their keyboard shortcuts

Many popular sites hide their shortcuts behind the Shift + / combination. Twitter, for example. g + m opens DM, “u”and “x”mute and lock the account. Facebook has its own list. “L”allows you to like the publication, “/”displays the search. You can also pin shortcuts to the bottom right corner of the screen. Exercise.
