Microsoft has confirmed that 31 games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on the first day of 2022, and it looks like it’s a pretty wild list so far. The start of the year includes hits like Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, while the second half of the year sees the release of one of the most anticipated games of the year, Starfield.
Xbox Game Pass allows players to play many of these games from both Microsoft and third parties on the first day. This means the games will be available on the service on launch day. Essentially allowing players to immediately dive into the most anticipated games of the year on day one without having to make any additional purchases other than Game Pass.

From the looks of it, Microsoft is in for another good year with Xbox Game Pass. While the list is long, there are notable exceptions, most notably Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga by Ninja Theory. The game was in the spotlight during this year’s The Game Awards, but it looks like it will be some time before players can play it.
The game is certainly one of the biggest Xbox releases ever, and if the gameplay trailer from TGA 2021 was anything to go by, fans are in for a treat of epic proportions.
