Home screen app icons are something you use on a regular basis, whether you hack your computer or not, and with that in mind, it seems to be a prominent niche of Apple’s mobile operating system that can be modified with hack settings.
In today’s review, we’ll take a closer look at what we think is one of the best iOS 14 compatible jailbreak tweaks for home screen app icons, with a focus on the icons themselves.

Best iOS 14 App Icon Jailbreak Settings
Zenith iOS 14 Hotfix – FREE
Zenith is perhaps one of my favorite alternative ways to organize your home screen without using the native Apple Home Screen folders. But it doesn’t work with iOS 14 out of the box.
With Zenith iOS 14 Fix, you can make Zenith compatible with iOS 14. While the fix is free to download, it’s worth noting that Zenith itself is a paid jailbreak tweak available separately for $1.99.

dock label – FREE
A simple but practical mod that you can apply to your iPhone or iPad home screen on a jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14 device is to add labels to the app icons that appear in your home screen’s dock with a dock label.
Right out of the box, these icons are traditionally unlabeled, and because of that, don’t match the look and feel of all other home screen app icons.

IconShadow – FREE
A while back, when Apple was playing with skeuomorphism instead of the flatter aesthetic approach we have today, it was not uncommon to have shadows hiding behind app icons on the home screen.
IconShadow’s jailbreak tweak brings the same icon shadows to the modern home screen, and despite Apple’s push for a flatter aesthetic, the shadows still look good with the right wallpaper.

MinusX – FREE
iOS and iPadOS 14 kicked off a new trend with the home screen where app delete buttons now display a minus sign instead of an “x”and while this change is likely to affect the app library and the difference between uninstalling and hiding apps. not everyone liked this change.
The free jailbreak tweak MinusX simply brings back the classic “x”button instead of the “minus”button. However, it still does the same thing as it does on iOS and iPadOS 14 devices.

Snowboard – FREE
At the top of our list today is SnowBoard, a free add-on for jailbroken devices that allows the end user to customize their home screen app icons with theme packs that can drastically change the look of their device from top to bottom.
SnowBoard is the modern day WinterBoard, the last one you may have heard of in the distant past. With it, you can apply both free and paid themes to your home screen to get the look you want. However, these themes are downloaded separately.

Invisible Widget – FREE
Sometimes jailbreaking requires having customizable app icon layouts, and one of the most effective ways to do this without costly jailbreak layout tweaks is to use transparent app icons, which you don’t normally see unless you go into Home Screen Edit Mode.
InvisibleWidget takes this concept into the modern age, allowing you to create not only invisible icons, but full-fledged invisible widgets that can take up a significant portion of your home screen by creating empty spaces between app icon tiles.

NoJunkQuickActions – FREE
The app icon on the main screen of the 3D Touch / Haptic Touch menu contains a lot of clutter that can simply be cleaned up. And if you agree; then NoJunkQuickActions is a jailbreak setting you won’t want to miss.
When installed, this tweak hides things that are not related to the application in question. It also frees up space if you use a jailbreak tweak that adds new options.

Converted Cylinder – FREE
One of my favorite ways to interact with app icons on any jailbroken device’s home screen is to view custom animations with a jailbreak tweak called Cylinder Remade.
This tweak makes things interesting as you move from page to page, and if you’ve been jailbreaking as long as I have, then you should know that this is a continuation of Barrel’s long-popular tweak from the early days of jailbreaking.
