French publisher New Tales will focus on creating its own license and providing its services to third-party studios.
Cédric Maréchal, a video game industry veteran who has worked extensively for Activision Blizzard in the past, announces the creation of a new French developer and publisher in Paris, following the closure of the US publisher’s Versailles premises. For this new adventure, he surrounds himself with other former Activision Blizzard and even Videndi Games employees, including Benoît Dufour as COO, Delphine Le Corret as Development Director, and Emmanuel Aubert as Content Director.
The new tales will also be assisted by three senior advisors, namely Kim Gresko (formerly of LucasArts and Blue Silver Studios), Ray Gresko (also formerly of Blizzard and Blue Silver Studios) and Julia Humphreys (formerly of Blizzard and Seven Studios).
“We have built a team of passionate gamers with unparalleled experience, having developed some of the largest gaming licenses and communities. Rarely has our community experienced such an exciting time, fueled by tons of innovation and creativity. However, the frequency of new releases continues to rise rapidly, reinforcing the need for a quality international publishing offering,” says Cédric Maréchal, President and CEO of New Tales. “That’s why we offer an end-to-end solution in which we will work with developers as a single team, striving for maximum success. We are also strengthening our in-house manufacturing facilities to develop our own games and franchises. We look forward to joining forces with people who share our values and our passion! “
