You can finally say goodbye to your old and wobbly Steam mobile app. Valve has just released a new redesigned version of its iOS and Android app that has been in testing since August. Valve launches a new version of its Steam mobile app
This new login method allows you to access your Steam account without having to enter a username and password. It uses the two-factor authentication tokens stored on your smartphone to verify your identity. If you’re using the Steam QR code login method, the app will show you a confirmation page with details, as well as a map with the approximate location of the device you’re logging in on, after you’ve scanned the code with your phone. This way you can be sure that you are approving a valid login attempt.
If you prefer to use your username and password, the app will always ask you if you accept or reject this connection attempt. And if you really want to be sure there’s not a single device associated with your account that shouldn’t be, you can now review the list and revoke any access if necessary on the Authorized Devices page.

The new Steam mobile app now also shows you all of your games in the library. When you click on the image of a game in the list, you will find an option to download the game remotely to your computer and another option to uninstall it. Other notable new features include an improved store view for mobile screens and customizable Steam notifications for sales, friend requests, and other categories.
According to the official announcement, Valve is also working on offering QR code entry in their Steam deck, and authorized devices should appear in the Steam client and browser version soon.
