One thing that jailbreakers and those looking to jailbreak should pay close attention to is their phone’s firmware. Apple is deliberately unsigning older versions of iOS and iPadOS to prevent users from upgrading to newer versions. This attempt makes jailbreaking more difficult as Apple frequently releases software updates to fix bugs and exploits used by jailbreak tools.
At iDownloadBlog, we’ve long advocated using IPSW.me to check which versions of iOS and/or iPadOS are signed, but Hyperixa is out with a new jailbroken phone app called IPSW that lets you quickly and easily see which firmware versions are signed. for your (or other) device.
Once installed, you can launch the app and start tapping on the device type you’re interested in to see which versions of iOS or iPadOS are signed or unsigned for that particular device.
The IPSW app is fast, user-friendly, and elegantly designed using the app’s own user interface rather than a web page, so users will find it simple and elegant.
Anyone who has used the IPSW.me website before should find that Hyperixa’s IPSW app offers a familiar user interface with the ability to quickly and easily find out if the firmware is signed for a device or not.
IPSW is available as a free download from the Hyperixa repository through any of the major package manager apps and supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices. Anyone not already using the Hyperixa repository can add it to their package manager app using the URL below:
