Many would-be jailbreakers are getting more worried every day as the wait for a public iOS and iPadOS 15 jailbreak for all devices continues. But as we and iDB always recommend, it is very important to use the lowest firmware and avoid software updates if you plan to jailbreak your device in the future.

While waiting for the iOS and iPadOS 15 jailbreak, there has been no shortage of up-to-date jailbreak news you might be interested in, and today we’re here to round up everything we’ve covered from the week of Monday, October 24 through Sunday, October. Important news this week

iOS and iPadOS 15.7.1 released

Apple released iOS and iPadOS 15.7.1 on Thursday to fix a number of security issues present in the previous version, including a zero-day bug that may have been heavily exploited in the wild.

Released version 1.3 TrollStore

The TrollStore permanent signature utility for iPhone and iPad was updated to version 1.3 on Saturday with many improvements that will especially please users.

View important image data in the Photos app

A new PhotosInfo jailbreak setting allows you to tap the title bar when viewing any image in the Photos app to view the relevant data about that image.

Some of the information displayed includes the file path, image resolution, image size, and filename, among others.

TrollTools v2.0 released

The TrollTools utility for TrollStore users was updated Wednesday to version 2.0 with a much safer app icon theme that basically eliminates the shortcut-based WebClips method except for system apps .

This new method is 25% faster than the competition, according to the developer, and is even rolling out to the Apple Watch.

Redesigned iOS 16.1 battery indicator for jailbroken devices

iOS 16.1 brought with it a redesigned battery level indicator for the status bar, which actually empties out when the battery is low and fills up again when the battery is charged.

Users have wanted this updated aesthetic since the beginning of iOS 16, and now you can have exactly the same aesthetic on a jailbroken iOS 14 device with a BatFill jailbreak setup.

iOS and iPadOS 16.1 released

Apple on Monday released iOS and iPadOS 16.1 to the public, with many improvements for iPhone users and the first public debut for the iPad since iOS 16 was launched nearly a month ago.

At the moment, these firmware versions are not jailbreakable, so would-be jailbreakers are advised to avoid updating and instead stay on the lowest possible firmware.

Apple Launches New Security Research Website

Apple is currently expanding its security research team by adding new engineers and increasing company transparency by implementing a redesigned way for security researchers to report issues directly to the company for recognition and reward.

The updated website includes a new tracker where security researchers can work directly with Apple engineers to address key issues affecting user security.

Purple: Redesigned Siri and welcome screen when unlocking the device, which can be customized with any image of your choice – usually an anime character with a transparent background that looks like a maid doing all your requests (free via the Havoc repository – overview post).
