Important news this week
The Best Jailbreak Tweaks for Time Management
We’ve put together a curated list of some of what we think are the best jailbreak tweaks to help you better manage your time on iOS 14 devices.
Enable live text on unsupported iOS 15 devices
A new jailbreak tweak called Live Text Enabler from iOS developer PoomSmart enables native Live Text functionality on unsupported iOS 15 devices jailbroken with Palera1n.
With this setting, a simple software boolean variable switches from false to true, showing us how petty Apple has been in limiting Live Text to new devices to make them more appealing to potential buyers.
Add a YouTube mute button
A new YouMute jailbreak tweak adds a dedicated mute and unmute button to the YouTube app’s media playback control interface, whether the app is in landscape or portrait.
It’s much more convenient than fiddling with the volume buttons when you want to quickly mute and unmute while a video is playing, and it even remembers your last volume state when you’re ready to unmute.
You can learn more about YouMute and how it works in our full review.
Boost Your Battery Life With This Jailbreak Tweak
You can save power on a jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 15 device jailbroken via palera1n with the new SmartBattery jailbreak tweak for iOS 15.
This tweak contains features to improve battery health, improve power saving, and increase awareness of battery-centric behavior.
iOS 16.1.2 Released
Apple released iOS 16.1.2 on Wednesday to improve crash detection on iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. The update is also claimed to improve cellular network compatibility on all phones.
It’s worth noting that iOS 16.1.2 doesn’t yet support jailbreak, so future crackers should avoid updating and instead stay on the lowest possible firmware.
