New Apple Arcade games: Stitch casual puzzle game now available to play

Stitch, the new casual puzzle game from the creators of Lumen and Tint, has launched on Apple Arcade on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Stitch is a new Apple Arcade game about the art of embroidery.

Created by the same developer who brought you the Apple Arcade Tint and Lumen puzzles, Stitch is also classified as a casual puzzle game. By embroidering on a numbered grid, Stitch invites you to fill in areas without gaps to assemble more than fifty hoops of varying complexity and sizes.

Sounds fun, and it is! There are thousands of levels to choose from, whether you prefer to stitch landscapes, plants, animals, objects and so on. Simply select the desired pattern, size, and hoop category to get started.

“Like any other art form, hand embroidery brings you peace, tranquility and inspiration,” the description says. “Realistic embroidery engine developed in-house to help you enjoy playing with real embroidery thread on your device.”

You can share completed hoops and unlock new ones weekly. Completing tasks will not only earn you points, but also the opportunity to level up.

Accessibility in Stitch

Stitch even supports accessibility features to help those who are colorblind or visually impaired. For example, the “Number Outlines”helper function makes the number outlines of the grid sharper and more contrasting.

Those who suffer from motion sickness can use the Reduce Motion feature. And if you can’t make out the grid numbers, Stitch allows you to increase the font size for better visibility.

You can play Stitch for free with an Apple Arcade subscription [ App Store link ].

How to view a list of upcoming Apple Arcade games

To view a list of upcoming games, go to the Arcade tab in the App Store and scroll to the bottom, then tap View All Games. On the next screen, click Filters to narrow the list by release date and turn on the Coming Soon option.

Apple may remove some tiles from the catalog due to poor interaction, usually when contracts with their developers expire. Remote games are available to play on the service for another two weeks.

How to get Apple Arcade for free

Apple Arcade gives you access to a growing library of over 200 games on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. All titles are free from ads, tracking and in-app purchases. Apple Arcade costs $5 per month after a free trial.

You get three free months of Apple Arcade when you buy a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV (see apple.com/apple-arcade for more information).

Apple Arcade is not a game streaming service – each game must be downloaded to run locally on the device. Most Apple Arcade games support compatible Sony, Microsoft, and MFi controllers (iOS 16 also lets you play with Nintendo Joy-Con and Switch Pro).
