Sony is introducing three new portable speakers designed specifically for outdoor use and delivering high quality sound.
Like every year at this time, Sony is introducing new additions to its range of portable speakers. Today there are three new models, all three are designed for outdoor use and are IP67 certified. Three models, also from the X-Sereis range, with non-circular “X-Balanced”drivers for more sound pressure and less distortion.
Sony unveils three new portable speakers
The largest option is the SRS-XG300, a cylindrical shape with a retractable handle, designed as a compact boombox. The XG300 speaker offers Mega Bass for bass boost, ClearAudio+ for “the most balanced sound”and a Live Sound mode that simulates the sound of a concert. In addition, the Sony Music Center app gives you the ability to customize the equalizer to suit your preferences. You can also connect multiple speakers for Party Connect or Stereo Pair mode.
Inside this SRS-XG300 are two X-Balanced speakers, two tweeters and two passive radiators for sound processing. According to Sony, the XG300 offers 25 hours of battery life on a single charge, and with just 10 minutes of charging, you can get 70 minutes of music playback. Note the presence of an echo cancellation feature for a more natural call sound if you use it. The SRS-XG300 will be available starting July 15 in gray or black for $350.
Thought and design for the outdoors, with high sound quality
Then comes the SRS-XE300, a pentagonal speaker that is more compact than the XG300. The built-in sound diffuser provides a more even distribution of sound. Party Connect and Stereo Pair modes let you synchronize multiple speakers. There is also a microphone mute button for calls, as well as an echo cancellation function. IP67 certified, the XE300 is also impact resistant. Claimed 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, and 10 minutes of charging gives 70 minutes of use. The SRS-XE300 will be available starting July 15 in Grey, Black or Blue for $200.
Finally, the most compact variant, the SRS-XE200, is more compact than the XE300 but with the same design, the only visible difference being the carrying strap. It has the same audio performance as its big brother and provides up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge, as well as 70 minutes of listening time on a 10-minute charge. The XE200 will be available starting July 15 in grey, black, blue or orange (exclusive to Target in the US) for $130.
