Apple may release a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch display next year. This model will sit above the existing 13-inch Air model. According to reports, the 13-inch model will receive an update later this year with an M2 chip and possibly a new design. Apple will release a new 15-inch model next year. Analyst Ross Young claims that the 15-inch model will be slightly larger in form factor than the 13-inch model. This means the bezels can be slightly thinner on the 15-inch model, resulting in a higher screen-to-body ratio.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the 15-inch MacBook Air. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously claimed that Apple is working on a larger model with a 15-inch display. At the time, Apple was considering making a larger version of the “MacBook Air”but decided not to push it “for the next generation,”Gurman said.
The company will release a 13-inch model first. Recently, a report said that the launch of the 13-inch model was pushed back to the second half of 2022. It is said that she will receive a new design with white frames around the 13.3-inch display. Apple will also release a MagSafe-enabled laptop that will be similar to the MacBook Pro M1 Pro, M1 Max.
The MacBook Air will be released in multiple color options and will feature a white keyboard layout. It will only have two USB Type-C ports. As expected, ProMotion display technology will not be available on this year’s Air model and is reserved for the 14-inch and 16-inch Pro models only.
