Razer has just released a new streaming accessory, the Stream Controller X. At the very least, we can say that this little device will be very familiar to many seasoned streamers and content creators. Indeed, it is very similar to the Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 with its 15 easily customizable programmable LCD keys.

In the menu of differences, you can note the distance between the keys, which is slightly different and, according to Tom’s Hardware, the set is slightly smaller than the Elgato model. And if two accessories are offered at the same price, $150, Elgato’s product has been on the market for some time and has already been able to take advantage of the promotional prices.

In any case, Stream Controller X allows users to program multiple actions, more or less complex, for a button by simply moving them in the right order in a special editor. Users can even schedule their actions to run sequentially or simultaneously. They can also create custom profiles for different tasks and then switch between them depending on what software is currently open using dynamic mode.

To make everyday multitasking even easier, the device is compatible with most of the most popular streaming software and other tools used in the field, such as Twitch or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. There are even predefined profiles for this software, saving users from having to create their own in the first place.

Like Razer’s first Stream Controller, the Model X is still powered by Loupedeck. The old model was already a redesigned version of the Loupedeck Live and today looks more like a distant relative than a brother to this Stream Controller X.
