In honor of Star Wars Day, Disney has released the first trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi begins ten years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where the Jedi Master had to face his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin. A Skywalker who turned to the dark side as the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader after Machiavellian manipulation by the Dark Lord of the Sith Sheev Palpatine, better known as Darth Sidious.
Obi-Wan Kenobi plays Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. The cast was joined by Kumail Nanjiani, who also appears briefly in the trailer, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Pisse, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessel and Benny Safdie.

Directed by Deborah Chow and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Reyvan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold, Obi-Wan Kenobi will debut May 25 on the Disney+ streaming platform with the first two episodes. Once launched, it will air weekly on Wednesdays until the finale on Wednesday 22 June.
