Obi-Wan Kenobi is scheduled to air on May 25th.
Produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Reyvan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold, the television series Obi-Wan Kenobi celebrates the return of Ewan McGregor as the famed knight and Jedi Master who sets Anakin Skywalker and then Luke Skywalker on the path to power. American comedian Hayden Christensen will also return as Darth Vader. Finally, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Pisse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessel and Benny Safdie are also on the list.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Ewan McGregor is pleased with the work done on the series dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi: “It was a great experience. Deborah Chow directed all the episodes and she’s really good at it. She directed several episodes of The Mandalorian and she is a very good director. She really knows the world of Star Wars, thoroughly, much more than I do. We had a great time.
I think it’s no secret that Hayden is coming back and we’ve had the opportunity to play scenes together in our respective roles and it’s been fantastic to work with him again. I’m not going to reveal anything else about the plot, but I think Star Wars fans will really enjoy it. I always thought there was a story between the third episode where I played Obi-Wan in the movies and the fourth episode where Alec Guinness plays Obi-Wan Kenobi. The writers of the show, Deb, me and everyone else, I think we have created or they have created a really great story. I think people will like it. ”
