No Man’s Sky Interceptor adds new ships, distorted worlds and improves virtual reality. This should please the players!
In February, Hello Games released an update to its No Man’s Sky game that improved the entire virtual reality (VR) gameplay across all platforms. Today, the developer has released a new update that not only adds new features for VR, but also expands the knowledge and introduces new elements. In his latest free add-on, dubbed the Interceptor, a new corruption spreads across the universe, infecting planets until they turn back into purple worlds where crystals multiply, turning Guardian Machines into new forms and spawning new enemies.

In these new worlds, players will encounter tall, spider-like machines and smaller, crab-like machines, as well as damaged drones. Hello Games explains that these are the deadliest enemies in the game to date, and that they’re loaded with deadly gear, from flamethrowers to explosives. Players will also be able to face huge Guardian ships, which should be the source of some very challenging space battles. In addition, this update also gives players access to a new variety of starships that they can build, new technologies and new equipment, such as the so-called “anti-gravity well”ability.
Gamers should love it
On a more technical level, Interceptor offers improved graphics and new features for virtual reality, including support for control via an interface on the wrist. Finally, this update introduces a number of improvements specifically for Xbox. Specifically, it was created to offer players on Redmond consoles a smoother and more consistent frame rate in visually challenging scenes.
Interceptor is available today for download on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as well as Nintendo Switch and VR.
