Without a doubt, Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale games of all time. Over the years, the developers have tried their best to present the game with new and interesting updates. Whether it’s a collaboration with another franchise or some new in-game element, it has always been well received by the public. At the start of Chapter 4, we saw another major update making the gameplay more competitive. Fortnite has a new location mechanic known as Hot Spots, which is now also a hot topic. If you’re curious about this new mechanic, then this guide is all you need. Check out this guide that explains all about hotspots.
What are hot spots?
Hotspots in Fortnite are certain places where you can get high quality loot. Think of this area as a PoI (Point of Interest) where multiple players will land to fight for loot.
How to find hotspots in Fortnite
As we already know, you can see the names of the regions on the map. While regular region names are written in white font, the Hot Spots region name will be written in gold font. Hence, to find a hotspot in Fortnite, be sure to look for regions whose names are written in gold font on the Fortnite map.
Moreover, if the area is not explored, you will see three golden question marks (???) above it. So be sure to explore the entire map to find a hotspot in Fortnite. In addition, there will be only 3 hotspots on the map, which will randomly change after each game.
As soon as you land in a hotspot, destroy the drones flying in the air. Drones drop loot after being destroyed.
