Also, find out which class suits which type of player.
MultiVersus class breakdown (explained)
There are 5 classes in MultiVersus that you can play with.
- Murderer
- thug
- tank
- Mage / Ranged
- Support
Here’s how each of these roles works.
Murderer
Killer fighters are fast and deal high damage. But to balance them out, they also take more damage. So, for simplicity, here is how you can identify them:
- Speed: Fast
- Damage: High
- Durability (damage absorption): Low
- Range: close
- Support Ability: Low
This character is designed to deal massive damage and end fights quickly. In order to use it, you need to make the most of the fighter’s speed. So get in the fight, deal damage and create distance when the enemy attacks. These are the very basics of how you should use the fighters of this class. These are all the Assassins in this game:
- Harley Quinn
- Arya Stark
- Finn the Human
Who it’s for Assassin: This class is for players who like to fight on the front lines. Players can make the most of this class that likes to deal the most damage possible in the game. You should play Assassin if you are a beginner and it gets better when you have more experience in the game.
thug
The Bruiser class is a cross between an assassin and a tank. These fighters are pretty fast, but not too fast. They can deal excellent damage, but usually it does not exceed what the Assassin can deal. Finally, they can take more hits than Assassins, but not at the same level as a tank. To keep things simple:
- Speed: Pretty fast
- Damage: Good
- Durability (damage absorption): Medium
- Range: close
- Support options: depends on the character
The main potential of this class lies in combos. The more you can use your normal attacks in a combo, the more damage you can deal to your opponents. Here are the characters of this class:
- Batman
- Shaggy
- Taz
- Jake the dog
- LeBron James
- Pomegranate
Who should use the Bruiser: This class is for players who like to attack combos. Just like an assassin, you need to be on the front lines as a fighter. This class is the most beginner friendly of all the classes in the game.
tank
Fighters of this class absorb damage. They can take hits easily and you will have a hard time ringing them out quickly. But this comes at the expense of their speed. They are not as nimble as assassins or brutes. Here is the breakdown of the tank:
- Speed: Slow
- Damage: High
- Durability (damage absorption): High
- Range: close
- Support Capabilities: Medium to High
Fighters of this class:
- amazing woman
- Superman
- iron giant
The most efficient way to use these fighters is to jump in and take damage as your teammate. You can use them especially well with a mage fighter. So while they prepare their attacks from behind, you can attack and take hits while they attack.
Who Should Use Tank: Players who like slow play should play Tank. It’s not that you can’t play on the front lines as a tank, but your role is to have your teammate deal damage. It’s also a beginner-friendly class, as you can get hit a lot while still learning the game.
Mage / Ranged
The Mage/Ranged class, as the name suggests, is designed to attack from afar. These characters are more difficult than the first three classes because you have to use them in a tricky way. The goal is to distract your opponents by interrupting them by attacking from a safe distance. Here is how you can break this class:
- Speed: Medium
- Damage: High
- Durability (damage absorption): Medium
- Range: Far
- Support Features: Medium
Characters in this class:
- Tom and Jerry
- Bugs Bunny
Who should use Mage: Players who don’t like to fight up close should use ranged fighters. These characters can deal some really great damage, but it takes quite a bit of practice to do so. This fighter is not exactly suitable for beginners, but once you get used to the game, you can start playing as these characters.
Support
The main use of support characters is to give buffs to teammates and debuffs to the enemy. They are also used to heal allies. They can deal good damage with the right buff. But, as the name of their class suggests, they are designed not only for close combat, but also for support. Here is the breakdown for the support class:
- Speed: Medium
- Damage: Low to Medium
- Durability (damage absorption): Medium
- Range: close
- Support Ability: High
Characters in this class:
- Velma
- raindog
- steven universe
Who Should Use Support: Players who want their teammates to fight while healing and buffing them at the same time should use a support character. It’s not exactly a beginner-friendly class, but you can get used to it after some practice.
