Finally, after years of waiting and hype, Elden Ring is set to release on February 25, 2022, which is just a few days away. The game is one of the most anticipated releases of 2022 and FromSoftware has released the game’s release schedule worldwide.
The game will be available for download at various times around the world. Elden Ring is now available to preload on Xbox consoles. PlayStation and PC players will be able to pre-download the game 48 hours before launch.
In some regions of the world, the console version of the game will be available before the PC version of the game. PC players will be able to preload the game via Steam.
Elden Ring Global Release Timing
The game will be available on both the latest generation consoles and the current generation consoles – Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 – days as there is apparently footage of the game on the internet.
Some players were able to get their hands on the game and started streaming it ahead of launch. Bandai Namco has confirmed the presence of spoiler footage and warned its fans against it.
Elden Ring is developed by FromSoftware, perhaps one of the most famous studios in the gaming industry. The studio made a name for itself with critically acclaimed titles like Demon’s Souls, followed by Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
FromSoftware games are known for their incredible difficulty, addictive gameplay, and innovative map designs. Previous installments of the game have been fairly wide open, but Elden Ring is the studio’s first full open-world game.
It will be interesting to see how the soulslike/soulsborne genre carries over into the open world and whether FromSoftware can keep up the level of quality in terms of map design.
