The Odyssey team has released another fresh update to their jailbreak tool Taurine based on iOS and iPadOS 14.0-14.3 , officially bringing the version number to 1.1.6.
Referring to the Odyssey team’s announcement on Twitter about this particular update, it looks like it supports a few changes from the upcoming jailbreak tool for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1 without root.
The full changelog for Taurine v1.1.6 on the official Taurine.app website is as follows:
- Backports DER rights fixes from Taurine15.
- Backports codesigning fixes from Taurine15.
- Backport of various other fixes from Taurine15.
The term “backport”in this case simply means that the Odyssey team found a better way to do things in their latest jailbreak tool and decided to apply the same methodology to an older jailbreak tool.
The direct impact of these changes is not discussed, or we will understand, however, since the Odyssey team felt it was important enough to back up and release a new version of Taurine, we can only assume that this is a positive change for end users.
