OnePlus will host an event in India next week where the company will unveil the affordable OnePlus 10R flagship smartphone and the affordable OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G phone. Along with the launch of two new smartphones, the company has also confirmed the release of new true wireless earbuds in India. However, the company had yet to announce a product name last week. Today, the company announced the name of the third OnePlus product, which will be launched on April 28. OnePlus is ready to release the OnePlus Nord Buds true wireless earbuds next week.
OnePlus Nord Buds are the company’s first pair of truly wireless earbuds under the Nord brand. The current TWS portfolio under OnePlus includes OnePlus Buds Z2 and OnePlus Buds Pro. Earlier, the company also announced OnePlus Buds and Buds Z. Ahead of the launch, the company shared the first official look of the device. Let’s take a closer look at Nord Buds.
OnePlus Nord Buds confirmed to launch in India
OnePlus Nord Buds will be available in two color options: black and white. These will be in-ear headphones with a short stem. The company added that they build on the success of the OnePlus Buds Pro and Buds Z2. The OnePlus Nord Buds will be the first Nord-branded accessory, and given the rapid growth of the TWS segment, OnePlus is looking to get a piece of the pie here as well.
OnePlus is trying to make audio more accessible, which means we can expect an aggressive and affordable price tag. The OnePlus Buds Z2 is currently on sale in India for Rs 4,999. Nord Buds may cost less than Buds Z2. Also, Nord Buds are launching in China as OnePlus Buds N. These headphones are supposed to come with large 12.4mm drivers and are expected to last up to 30 hours with a case. Other specs include a Type-C charging port, an IP55 rating, support for Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth 5.2.
