Vivo S12 series official teaser confirms launch date to become first phone from company with OriginOS Ocean UI

Vivo has officially confirmed the launch date for the Vivo S12 series. According to a teaser released by Vivo, the Vivo S12 series will be launched in China on December 22 at 19:30 (local time). Reservations for the Vivo S12 series have also started in China ahead of the official debut of the phone. The teaser video released by Vivo only confirms the launch date of the S12 range and does not provide details on the specifications or design of the devices. The upcoming Vivo S12 series should include two devices namely Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro. The Vivo S12 series will replace the Vivo S10 range announced by Vivo earlier this year. Vivo S12 series launch scheduled for December 22

The upcoming Vivo S12 and S12 Pro will be the company’s first smartphones to feature the Origin Ocean UI that Vivo recently announced. Speaking of specs, the Vivo S12 lineup is rumored to feature an octa-core Dimensity 1200 processor. The Vivo S12 Pro is speculated to feature a Full HD+ resolution OLED display. The display panel has a wider cutout that can include two camera sensors. The device is said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes.

A past leak suggests the device will have a 50MP main camera on the front and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the back, the S12 Pro offers a triple-camera setup that can include a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP sensor. At the moment, data on the battery capacity of the phone remains unknown. The battery of the device is said to support 44W fast charging. In terms of pricing, the Vivo S12 Pro should be priced at 3,000 yuan in China.
