OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro receives OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 update with December patch

OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone giant, has started rolling out the December Android security patch for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series phones. The latest update for OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro comes with OxygenOS firmware version 11.0.5.1 and is based on Android 11. OnePlus posted this to the OnePlus Community Forum to announce the same. Let’s take a closer look at the changes the update brings to OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series users.

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T Series OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 Changelog Update,

OnePlus has fixed an issue with the latest update that prevented users from sending and receiving media through the WhatsApp app. Other than that, the update also brings the latest December 2021 Android security patch and improves overall system stability. According to a community forum post, OnePlus 7 users in Europe are receiving the OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM57BA update in Europe. At the same time, phone users in other regions of the world receive the OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.GM57AA update. Similarly, the update for OnePlus 7T users in Europe comes with OxygenOS firmware version 11.0.5.1.GM21BA. While the OnePlus 7T update contains OxygenOS firmware version 11.0.5.1.GM21AA in other regions.

OnePlus 7T users worldwide are getting the update with OxygenOS version 11.0.5.1.HD65AA. For now, the same update is rolling out with OxygenOS firmware version 11.0.5.1.HD65BA for OnePlus 7T in Europe.

As for the OnePlus 7T Pro, European users are receiving an update with OxygenOS version 11.0.5.1.HD65BA. Whereas, OnePlus 7T Pro users in India and other regions of the world are receiving the OxygenOS 11.0.5.1.HD01AA update.

OnePlus has confirmed that the rollout is incremental, meaning the update is only available to select users. We can expect the brand to roll out the update widely in the coming weeks. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series devices may receive the OxygenOS 12 update based on Android 12. However, the brand has yet to start beta testing the same.
