OnePlus Ace with Dimensity 8100 and triple rear cameras to launch in China on April 21st

OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date for the OnePlus Ace smartphone. Today, the company announced the launch date of the new phone on Weibo. The OnePlus Ace will launch in China on April 21, which is just a week away.

A new phone from the brand has been in the news for the past few days. A previously possible OnePlus Ace with Dimensity 8100 SoC, 12GB RAM has been spotted on the Geekbench database, and more recently, the phone was announced to launch in China, with the company also sharing the first look of the phone. The company has now confirmed the launch date and more official images of the phone have also been released.

There are also rumors that the OnePlus Ace launched in China could launch as the OnePlus 10R in India later this month as the design of both phones seems to be similar. Let’s take a look at more details about the OnePlus Ace.

The OnePlus Ace will go on sale in China on April 21 at 7:00 pm local time, which is 4:30 pm EST. The launch invitation image shows the phone’s rear camera module and color options. The device will be available in black and blue colors. The images also confirm that the phone won’t have a headphone jack, and the alert slider appears to be missing.

OnePlus Ace: Specifications

The OnePlus Ace will ship with the MediaTek Dimnensity 8100 chipset, which the company has already confirmed. This octa-core chipset features four cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four other cores clocked at 2GHz and is paired with a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. Out of the box, the phone will run on Android 12. According to the leaks, the phone will also support 150W fast charging.

In addition, the Ace features a 6.7-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of optics, the phone is said to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP sensor, and a 2MP sensor. The phone will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
