Oppo Enco Buds are officially launched. Budget wireless earphones were introduced all over the world before they were launched and fell into an increasingly crowded budget audio category that has competitors from Redmi, Realme, OnePlus and more. As part of its key features, the Oppo Enco Buds offer, among others, an 80ms low latency mode for gaming, AI-assisted ambient noise reduction during calls, and a cumulative 24-hour battery life.
Oppo Enco Buds: price and availability
The Oppo Enco Buds will go on sale starting September 14 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The earbuds are priced at $27 and will be on sale from September 14th to 16th at a special starting price of $25. This makes it one of the most affordable pairs of true wireless earbuds out there.
Main characteristics
The Oppo Enco Buds are powered by 8mm dynamic drivers and feature a dual-layer composite diaphragm. It also supports the AAC codec for audio delivery and supports Bluetooth 5.2 as a communication standard. This, Oppo claims, ensures stable communication up to 10 meters (33 feet) as well as an 80ms low latency mode for audio delivery. The latter can be activated by tapping the earbuds three times, and on paper is better than the low latency mode offered by other budget earphones like the Realme Buds Air 2 and the new Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro.
However, it lacks active noise cancellation. Instead, Oppo says it will offer an AI-based call noise reduction feature to improve call audio quality. The earbuds support touch controls for playback settings, and support the Oppo Hey Melody companion app for audio and playback quality settings.
In terms of battery life, Enco Buds offer 24 hours of cumulative playback time, including the charging case. The earbuds provide six hours of playback on a full charge, and it takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the earbuds and charging case.
