Oppo has confirmed the launch of the Find X5 series. The company has announced that it will be holding a global launch of its flagship smartphone series on February 24. Oppo will showcase at least two premium smartphones at this event. These include the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro.

Two variants of Oppo Find X5 Pro presented
Oppo is expected to release the Find X5 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. A new leak reveals that a Dimensity 9000 engine variant is also in the works. A Twitter user uploaded an image listing the full specifications of the two Oppo smartphones.
This shows that the Pro model will have two variants. One variant has a combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MariSilicon X. The other variant will feature a Dimensity 9000 SoC. This could make the Find X5 Pro the world’s first smartphone with MediaTek’s flagship processor. The company has yet to confirm any details about the launch of two variants of its flagship phone.
Both options will likely have the same specs, except for the CPU and NPU. They will be equipped with a triple camera on the back with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. There will be another 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP telephoto lens. There may be some difference between the main camera sensor in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant and the Dimensity 9000 model. The former will have a 1G + 6P lens setup, while the latter will have a 7P lens.
Both options pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging. According to the statement, the devices will be fully charged within 35 minutes. The Snapdragon variant will launch in 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB variants, while the Dimensity 9000 variant will ship in a single 12GB+256GB variant.
On the front, both phones will have a 6.7-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with 2K resolution. The screen of the Snapdragon model will be an LTPO 2.0 panel with support for refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. The MediaTek variant will have an LTPO 1.0 panel. For selfies, the devices will feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front camera. They will have an IP68 degree of protection against water and dust. The two variants are 8.5mm thick and weigh about 216 grams.
