The Oppo Reno 8 series smartphones were launched in China last night. The company announced the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, Reno 8 Pro, and vanilla Reno 8. Along with the Reno 8 trio, the Oppo Pad Air and Oppo Enco R TWS were also launched in China.
The Oppo Reno 8 series is expected to launch in India in June, which is just around the corner. Ahead of launch, a new report reveals color, RAM, and storage configuration options for the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Reno 8 Pro in India will be available in three color options. Let’s look at all the details.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro India Color options, RAM and storage options leaked
According to Passionategeekz report, Oppo Reno 8 Pro will be available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. Judging by this leak, India will not receive the base 8GB + 128GB variant that was announced in China yesterday. In terms of color options, the device will be available in Green, Black and White with the marketing names Glazed Green, Glazed Black and Glazed White respectively. Finally, the report also states that Oppo may not launch the Reno 8 Pro+ in India.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Specifications
The Reno 8 Pro features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC clocked at up to 2.4GHz. It could be the first phone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC in India. The phone is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
As for the camera, there is a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera. The Reno 8 Pro is powered by a 4500mAh rechargeable battery supported by 80W Super Flash charging. This device is also equipped with the MariSilicon X chip, which is said to improve camera performance. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a Type-C port, a thickness of 7.57mm and a weight of 188 grams.
In terms of price, the Reno 8 Pro could cost around Rs 40,000 and will compete with the OnePlus 10R, Realme GT 2 and more. The device is expected to launch in India in mid-June.
