While most of the best MMOs have paid access, Destiny 2 is a free-to-play game of the same quality, only without fees. Join your favorite heroes as they embark on near-impossible missions to save the day. One of the PvE missions you will face is the Solstice quest. And while this is a relatively easy quest, players are likely to get frustrated very quickly. To fix this error, here is your guide on how to fix the Solstice quest error in Destiny 2.
How to Fix Solstice Quest Error in Destiny 2
The Solstice quest is fairly simple, but there is a bug that prevents players from fully completing it in the game. This bug puts the ashes of the player’s second or third character into negative balance instead of what it shows in the game, 0/20. The bug can also cause you to convert your Silver Leaves to Ash, but each time you do so, you only get one Ash. Whatever the reason, this solution should work for both problems.
First, you will need to find out how much debt you have. To do this, simply go to the Destiny Item Manager (DIM) progress page and check. If your ash balance is within -500, you can grind to clear the debt. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to do this if your debt is astronomical, like -3000. There is no way you can grind and get it back to 0, let alone a higher level, to complete this quest.
You could probably try your luck by deleting the quest and then getting it back from the kiosk in the Tower. Some have reported that it actually works and the ash balance is back to 0/20. They can then turn their Silver Leaves into Silver Ashes. Be aware, however, that this hasn’t worked for many people and is really a last resort.
No matter which way you go, first look at your Ash debt in DIM. Once you do that, you will realize if the Solstice quest is really worth the effort.
