watchOS 10 may update the Apple Watch user interface
In the latest issue of his Bloomberg Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman hinted at significant changes to the Apple Watch user interface. The software, he writes, “should be a fairly massive upgrade.”Gurman went on to describe the update as “a notable UI change – unlike iOS 17.”
Does this mean third party watch faces? A new way to navigate your Apple Watch? Or maybe something completely different and unexpected? We would like to know the answers to these questions.
Since Gurman didn’t elaborate, we don’t know anything about this alleged Apple Watch UI update. However, he suggested that as watchOS hits a major milestone this year with the release of version 10, Apple should get consumers excited.
This will become especially important “given that the Apple Watch hardware upgrades will be anything but major.”Other Apple products this year should also undergo modest updates, as Gurman previously reported, because the headset is said to have consumed all of Apple’s energy.
Apple will introduce watchOS 10 at WWDC
We won’t have to wait too long to see everything new in watchOS 10 – Apple is hosting a WWDC event from June 5-9 this year that will showcase the most significant changes for iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14.0.
The current watchOS 9.4 software fixes a bug with a mute gesture that wakes you up late, while expanding AFib’s cycle tracking and history features to new markets, including Moldova and Ukraine. The update also recalibrates the battery life of the 44mm Apple Watch Series 6.
As for iOS 17, Gurman previously said that his sources told him that iOS 17 will be basically a service update with some new features to keep people interested.
