You live the best life if you have 4 (or more) friends who play OW 2 together as a team. Thanks to this, you really have a chance to put together a good squad that can dominate the battle. Here are our suggestions for the best team lineups in Overwatch 2 to help you out. Don’t worry, even if you’re playing with random characters, you can go through this list and choose a few heroes to balance the team and make it more powerful.
The best team lineups in Overwatch 2 (Season 1)
Please be aware that these command lineups are based on our OW2 experience and may differ from your selection. In the end, it’s all about playing your primary team so well that you actually become the OP team. But if you’re trying out new command combinations for your squad, this list might come in handy. There are heroes that have great synergy with others, and some can counter enemy heroes very well. Not all matches are created equal and a player’s skill set can make a big difference, so with that in mind, here are our suggestions in no particular order.
Team Competition 1
- Tank: D.va
- DPS: Genji
- DPS: Stay
- Support: Lucio
- Support: Ana
Genji is the perfect combination of melee and ranged due to his shurikens, swift strike, dragon blade, and agility that allows him to climb walls and perform double jumps. Combine this with cannons, a shield, D.va missiles as well as Sojourn railgun shells and your team gets pretty aggressive. There is Lucio, a powerful healer, and Ana, who can put enemies to sleep from a distance. It’s a good mix of fast heroes as well as slow/static ones.
Team Competition 2
- Tank: Junker Queen
- DPS: Stay
- DPS: Reaper
- Support: Kiriko
- Support: Ana
Junker Queen not only has powerful attacks, she also uses Commanding Shout, which grants temporary health and movement speed to her and her teammates. Pair this with Sojorn who will fight enemies from a distance, Reaper who will get up close and kill them in one shot, and Kiriko who is fast and deals a lot of damage, this can be a formidable team. And, of course, Ana provides the perfect complement with her abilities that can cancel her ultimate.
Team Competition 3
- Tank: Dawn
- DPS: Sombra
- DPS: Genji
- Support: Zenyatta
- Support: Lucio
Zarya is slow, but along with Lucio and Genji’s speed, and Sombra’s stealth skills, this team could be the best of both worlds. To boost your powers, use Zenyatta’s Orb of Discord against enemies and you’re done.
Team Competition 4
- Tank: D.Va/Winston/Wrecking Ball
- DPS: Sombra
- DPS: Junkrat
- DPS: Reaper
- Support: Moira
D.Va/Winston/Wrecking Ball can hold the front line while Sombra hacks enemies, rendering them helpless for a while. Junkrat can keep planting traps and bombs while Reaper is headshotting. Add to this the equally aggressive Moira, capable of dealing her own damage, and your enemies will be defeated.
Team competition 5
- Tank: Reinhardt
- DPS: Soldier: 76
- DPS: Stay
- Support: Lucio
- Support: Moira
Reinhardt’s barrier field can withstand a ton of damage, behind which Soldier:76 and Sojorn can protect themselves and get those kills. Moira and Lucio team up as healers who can deal damage as well as heal allies.
Be sure to practice with your group at the range and see how each team member works with the other. Whether you want to flank the enemy, play aggressively, or surprise them from a distance, a combination of these heroes can do the magic for you.
