Why is Soldier: 76 on this list?
Soldier: 76 was never considered a support hero, he is one of the main damage heroes in OW2 and was part of the offensive heroes in the first Overwatch. He is a high DPS character that we think is considered one of the best starting heroes for beginners. So why did we add it to our list as a “Bonus”? Well, it’s for one of his healing abilities called Biotic Field.
Biotic Field is Soldier: Ability 76 when he places a biotic emitter on the ground that heals all teammates inside the field. Soldier: 76 can even place a biotic emitter on a moving “payload”in Escort game modes. This is a huge bonus to the healing of all teammates in escort modes.
In my experience, the biotic field proved useful hundreds of times, especially when our support was down and the only heal I could find was Soldier’s biotic yellow ring: 76 on the battlefield. I personally vouch for him as a reliable hero to get sick of in case your support doesn’t work. As such, we’ll leave him as a “bonus tier”given his role as a damage hero.
So that was our tiered list of the best Overwatch 2 support healers.
