Disney is ordering a Percy Jackson & the Olympians television series and is announcing that production will begin this summer.

Jon Steinberg will also oversee the project along with his producing partner Dan Shotz. The latter will also executive produce alongside James Bobin, Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Bryn, Jim Rowe, and Ellen Goldsmith-Wein.
