Revelation of Summer, The Sandman is the highest rated Netflix series in 89 countries.
Based on the Neil Gaiman-written DC comic book series of the same name, The Sandman received positive reviews within days of airing, especially for the performances of the cast and faithful translation of the original material. Its immense popularity quickly promoted production from The Blank Corporation, Phantom Four Films, Purepop, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. days after its release.

While the streaming platform Netflix has yet to renew The Sandman for a second season, Neil Gaiman, who has taken on the role of writer and co-executive producer on the Netflix adaptation, has stated that he is already in discussions about casting the other two members of Endless:
What we’re doing now is that every time I think of an actor that could be either Destroyer or Delusional, or come across or notice them, showrunner Allan Heinberg gets an email from me.
What to expect from the second season of The Sandman?
Neil Gaiman recently revealed that he plans to deepen the nascent rivalry between Lucifer and Morpheus in The Sandman Season 2. Although he confirmed that the season would immediately pick up the cliffhanger from the first season, the author added that the fans of the series were not ready for what the creators had planned:
It’s great that everyone who watched season 1… when they’re told that season 2 will start with a big rematch between Lucifer and Morpheus, they get very excited. They are far from suspecting what will happen, and they are simply not prepared for what is to come.
