Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Plaion (formerly Koch Media, a subsidiary and operating arm of the Embracer Group), said:
We are always looking for new partners to work with to bring something really special to our audience. Straight4 Studios has a fantastic vision and a team with an outstanding roster of games under their belt. For fans of racing simulations, this is a must-play game.
Straight4 Studios, the “resurrection”of Slightly Mad Studios
To create a new car simulator with the British independent structure Straight4 Studios, Ian Bell poached a lot of talent from Slightly Mad Studios (Project Cars, Fast & Furious, World of Speed, Test Drive), a subsidiary of Codemasters, then Electronic Arts, as well as an equal number of veterans of the video game industry who worked on such famous franchises as Need for Speed and GTR.
Kevin Boland, director of development at Straight4 Studios, added:
The long-awaited return of one of the most iconic racing simulation teams is made possible in large part by our strategic partnership with Plaion. The whole team was excited about what Plaion would bring to our game.
