PlayStation PC: Sony is forming a new label, maybe more games will come to PC soon

For a while, console exclusivity seems odd, with both PlayStation and Xbox slowly turning to PC as a way to bring their best games to an even larger audience than ever before. Xbox has been a bit more active on this front, especially with services like Xbox Game Pass, but it looks like PlayStation is stepping up the pace by a few degrees.

Over the past couple of years, great Playstation games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding have arrived on PC, and soon on PC. Games like God of War (2018), Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy have been confirmed to be coming to PC. Now, it looks like Sony has gone even further with the creation of “PlayStation PC LLC “.

The PlayStation PC expects more third-party games to come to PC in the near future.

SIE reportedly registered the PlayStation PC LLC name in April 2021. This is a very positive sign that SIE is using PC as a platform for some of its best games, as it allows a new audience to experience the games and for console players to perhaps play games again in a completely different way.

This probably doesn’t mean that PlayStation games will be released on PC on Day 1, but more third-party games will be coming to PC eventually. It was only recently that astute SteamDB users noticed Sackboy: A Big Adventure also listed in the Steam database, indicating that the game is on the way to release on PC as well.

It will be interesting to see how SIE decides to play this game, given the success of Xbox Game Pass for PC, and whether Sony might even consider going down the same path with a subscription service of a similar nature.
