You may have noticed that in some cases you no longer see the contact’s WhatsApp profile picture. This can be a bit confusing, especially if you’ve been able to see their profile picture before. In this post, we’ll look at some of the reasons why this might be happening.
1. This person removed their photo from their WhatsApp profile.
If you no longer see a contact’s WhatsApp profile photo, it’s likely that they deleted their profile photo by going to WhatsApp Settings > Profile Picture > Edit > Edit > Delete Photo.
2. They set their profile photo visibility to “Nobody”
It’s also possible that the person simply set their profile photo’s privacy to “Nobody”, making it invisible to you or anyone else. You can do this in WhatsApp Settings > Privacy > Profile Photo > Nobody.
Note. Apart from “No one”, it may also be that the person has added you to the exclusion list by selecting “My Contacts Except”.
3. The person deleted your contact from their phone
Most people only set their profile picture privacy for contacts. As a result, only people added to the contact list of their iPhone or Android phone can see their WhatsApp profile picture.
Now, if you were able to see a person’s photo before but can no longer, it could be because that person removed your phone number from their Contacts app. Because of this, WhatsApp no longer shows you its profile photo.
4. You are blocked
If you had an argument or sent unwanted messages to a person, then this is the most obvious reason why you no longer see their WhatsApp profile picture, status, or stories. They most likely blocked you and now you can’t even send them a direct WhatsApp message or call them. Of course, there are several ways to find out if someone has blocked you.
To block a person on WhatsApp, go to WhatsApp Settings > Privacy > Blocked > Add New and select a contact. Alternatively, you can also tap the person’s name or mobile number at the top of the chat screen and tap “Block Name/Number”.
5. Man deleted his WhatsApp account
Finally, if you don’t see someone’s WhatsApp profile picture, it could be because they deleted their account by going to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Delete My Account.
