How to download Poke Transporter on 3DS

You can download Poke Transporter from the Pokemon Bank app on your 3DS. You also need a 3DS game that is compatible with Pokemon Bank.
- Launch a Pokémon bank on the 3DS.
- Scroll down and select the “Download Poke Transporter”button.
- Click Download and select Yes.
- This will open your 3DS online store directly to the Poke Transporter page.
- Click “Proceed to Download”.
- Select one of the download options i.e. sleep mode download or full download now.
Once the download is complete, you should be able to see the new application on your home 3DS computer.
How to update Poke Transporter
You can update Poke Transporter from both the main menu and Nintendo eShop. But if you download it using the above method, you will automatically get the latest version of it. Please be aware that both Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter will become free services for players once Nintendo closes its online store for 3DS and Wii U. This also means that you will no longer receive updates for these applications.
Why should you download Poke Transporter and Pokemon Bank on your 3DS?
Nintendo is set to close its online store for 3DS and Wii U on March 27, 2023, so you should download these apps before then. This is because after the online store for your 3DS is discontinued, you will no longer be able to obtain Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter. Both of these softwares are useful for transferring and storing your Pokémon.
Prior to the release of Pokemon Home, players had to use a Pokemon Bank to store their Pokemon. This service allowed them to freely store their Pokémon from various 3DS games, including:
- Pokémon X and Y
- Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
- Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
As for Pokemon Transporter, this app was essential to transfer your Pokemon from Gen 5 and older games to your 3DS. Once you have collected all of your Pokémon in the Pokémon Bank, you will be able to transfer them to your Pokémon House. But if you need to download these services before the 3DS online store closes.
But that’s not the only use of the Pokémon Bank, it’s also useful as an extra storage. Each Pokémon game only allows you to store a certain number of Pokémon. So this app is handy if you run out of drawers in them.
