Poco F4 5G MIUI India ROM appears ahead of launch, Android 12 confirmed

Poco India is ready to launch the Poco F4 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The phone will go on sale June 23 in the country and other global markets. Poco has already confirmed some of the key specs of the upcoming F-series phone. A couple of days before the launch, the Poco F4 MIUI India ROM has surfaced which reveals the phone will ship with MIUI 13 out of the box.

MIUI 13 for Poco F4 will be based on Google’s latest stable mobile OS, Android 12. The MIUI India ROM for Poco F4 also reveals the device’s codename, Munch. Let’s look at the details.

Poco F4 5G will ship with MIUI 13 out of the box

The Xiaomi Firmware Updater channel, which uses an automated script to get the latest MIUI ROM for Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices, reported on this development. The changelog also shows that MIUI 13.0.3.0SLMINXM will ship with the June 2022 Android security patch.

Poco F4 5G: what we know so far

Poco has already confirmed some of the key specs of the upcoming Poco F4 5G. According to the teasers, the phone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor and support for 67W fast charging. The phone is confirmed to feature a Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1300nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ certification.

Poco India has also confirmed that the Poco F4 will offer a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP camera with OIS support. The phone will have up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. It will also offer a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. We can expect Poco India to offer two Android version upgrades for the upcoming F-series phone.
