Krafton has confirmed that the upcoming January update for PUBG New State 0.9.23 will be released next week. The new update brings a ton of new content to the game, including a new game mode, weapons, and general improvements across the board.
At the beginning of the new year, the developers of PUBG New State confirmed that the game will receive two major updates in January and February. The first update of the year, 0.9.23, will introduce a crazy new game mode called BR: Extreme.
The mode is set in Troi, and while the core experience of the game is similar to the standard game mode, each round will only last 20 minutes and only include 64 survivors. The playing area will be randomly selected and will change every match.

All players will start with the same equipment, namely:
- P1911 pistol
- 1 smoke grenade
- 300 credits for drones
- Fully charged boost meters
2 Care Packs will be randomly dropped around the map at the very beginning, allowing players to immediately receive top-notch equipment. The game mode will feature faster delivery drones, more vehicles, and a jump plane flying much lower than normal to allow for faster drops.
The new mode is designed to encourage aggressive and fast-paced gameplay that contrasts sharply with the methodical pace of the standard battle royale mode.
New weapon: P90
- P90 can now spawn in care packages on the battlefield!
- This submachine gun will come with a standard level 2 transform sight and an included silencer, but it cannot be modified with other attachments.
- It will use 5.7mm ammo, which will also be added to the Drone Store.
PUBG New State Battle Pass Season 1
- The pre-season level will be reset! Levels will reset for all regions and modes based on the highest level survivors reached in the pre-season.
- The ultimate rewards for achieving Challenger, Master, and Conqueror will be improved.
- Match points and level evaluation standards will be revised.
- A small amount of level points will be rewarded when multiple cards are selected (Random 2).
