Redmi is gearing up to launch the K50 series in China. The company will launch three premium smartphones in this series, namely the K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro+. These three devices will join the K50 Gaming Edition released earlier this year.
Xiaomi has started teasing some of the key features of the Redmi K50 series. Now the company has confirmed the display specs and some other details of the flagship Redmi smartphones. Ahead of the launch, color variants of the devices have been leaked online. Let’s take a look at the specs, features and other details of the Redmi K50 series.
Redmi K50 Series Specifications
The Redmi K50 series will debut on March 17 in China. The company has now confirmed that the K50 series will feature Samsung 2K AMOLED panels. Redmi claims that the display will offer a few extra features and is the most expensive on a Redmi device. We suspect the 2K panel may only be available on Pro models. In addition to this, the teaser confirms that the devices will support Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6, NFC, dual frequency GPS, etc.
The company has already confirmed that the K50 series will feature dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res sound certification.
The Redmi K50 series will ship with the Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000 chipsets. These three chipsets will be featured in the K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro+ respectively. The K50 Pro and Pro+ will have a 108MP main camera, the latter with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. Previous teasers confirm that the devices have triple rear cameras. The camera module is rectangular in shape with sensors located in the top half of the module. There is text on the bottom half confirming the main camera sensor is set to 108 MP.
The report also leaked color options for the Redmi K50 series ahead of launch. The devices will be released in four color options – black, blue, gold and white. The K50 series will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Other details about the devices will be announced at the launch event. We can expect the phones to be released under the Xiaomi and Poco brands. What do you think of the K50 series? Let us know in the comments below.
