There are several quests in Dredge, both important and optional, that you must complete. In addition to important quests, you can also complete additional quests to unlock additional cutscenes and rewards. The Lost Dog is one of those quests or chases you come across while exploring. To be precise, this chase is activated when players move along the shores of the Star Basin (location on the map – F2). But what after that? I mean how to actually complete this quest? How to complete a lost dog chase in Dredge
In order to complete the lost dog chase in Dredge, you will need to find him a new home. To do this, you will have to win his trust. When interacting with a dog, you get several options, such as:
- pet dog
- Slow approach
- call the dog
- Throw some fish to the dog
- Leave
Next, you will have to use the above options to get the Dog to follow you. To gain the Dog’s trust, first throw him a fish. Next, a new option will appear that allows you to hold some fish in your hand. Call the dog to come closer to you. Then hold some fish in your hand for the Dog to eat. Then you need to pet the dog.
After completing the above gestures, select “Leave”and you will see the Lost Dog approaching you in the Dredge. Pick up the dog and let it rest in your boat. Keep in mind that the dog will take up some of the space in your cargo. Now you need to find a new home for this lost dog. Don’t worry, the explorer at the Old Fortress, Star Pool (map location – D5) is ready to welcome this brown four-legged friend. So, go there and hand over the Dog to the Explorer. Once the lost dog chase is complete, you will be rewarded with a sapphire ring in Dredge.
