The pace of battle in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is completely different from other entries in the Pokémon series.
Unlike previous Game Freak games, where pocket monsters typically took only one action per turn, Pokémon Legends: Arceus relies solely on Pokémon statistics and other unknown factors to determine the number of actions each creature can take, as well as the order in which it can be done. does it. As such, this can lead to situations where the Pokémon can take multiple hits in a row. Thus, the tactical aspect is completely redesigned. In addition to choosing between a series of unstoppable strikes or an attack and a healing potion, abilities are now used in two different ways:
- With Quick Style, ability speed is increased, allowing the user to quickly move on to the next turn in exchange for a power reduction.
- Power Style allows you to hit hard by increasing the strength of the movements, due to the speed of the Pokemon’s actions
Pokémon battle “trainers”in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
In the Hisui area, Pokémon and humans still live separately. Therefore, it is rare to see people interacting with Pokémon, and even more so when they fight alongside them. However, there are a few people, such as some Guardians, who are so closely related to Pokémon that they can challenge you to a duel.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases on January 28 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
Catch wild Pokémon in four steps
- Showdown: Pokémon roam freely in a variety of environments throughout the region, from plains to forests and bodies of water, just to name a few. Certain Pokémon behaviors and even certain species will only appear under certain conditions, such as certain times of day or certain weather.
- Please note that each type of wild Pokémon will react differently to your presence. Some Pokémon will attack you without warning, while others will run as soon as they see you. You will need to adapt your approach to the Pokemon’s temperament in order to successfully catch them.
- Weaken: Battles can be an important step in catching Pokémon. Wild Pokémon will be easier to catch after being weakened in combat
- Capture: You can try to capture a wild Pokémon by throwing Poké Balls at it. When you meet a Pokémon you want to catch, walk up to it and try to catch it with the Poké Ball. Aim carefully and throw your Pokeball at the right time, otherwise you will miss your chance! If the wild Pokémon doesn’t escape the Poké Ball, then voila!
