Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Level Up to 100 (Experience Farm Guide)

Getting your Pokémon to level 100 can be a daunting task in Scarlet & Violet. But don’t worry, there are several methods in the game that, if you use them, can give you a lot more experience than random battles with wild Pokémon. So check out this Exp Farming guide on how you can level up your Pokemon to 100 in Scarlet & Violet.

How to level up your Pokemon to 100 in Scarlet & Violet

You can quickly level up your Pokémon to 100 by having it hold a lucky egg and fight. Basically, you only have two main ways to level up your Pokémon to 100. The first is to fight Trainers and Wild Pokémon. And the second is to feed them Exp Candy.

You can also feed them rare candies to instantly level them up by 1 level. But, as the name suggests, they are rarely seen. So it’s best if you save them for the last few levels. This is because you can level up from level 81-90 much faster than level 91 to 100. So it’s best if you save your rare candies for the last few levels.

Here are all three ways to help your Pokémon reach level 100.

Pokémon battle

To level up quickly, you have to fight Pokémon, but the catch is that you don’t have to fight every Pokémon you meet. You can do these few things to help optimize the Pokémon you encounter and level them up.

  • Gym Leader Rematch: After you become the champion, the first thing you should do is go back to all 8 Gyms and beat them again. This will allow you to unlock the Academy Ace Tournament.
  • Challenge Academy Ace Tournament: After unlocking, you can participate in this tournament as many times as you want to gain experience and earn money easily.
  • Wild Chansey and Blissey Battle: Chansey and Blissey are two Pokémon that give you some of the highest experience points in the game. You can meet them both at:
    • Northern Province Zone 1
    • Northern Province Zone 2
    • Northern Province District 3
  • To increase the number of collisions, you can even eat sandwiches that give you the power of a regular collision. Here are some of these sandwiches:
    • Master Potato Sandwich
    • Master Egg Sandwich
    • Refreshing Sandwich Master
  • Or you can meet them in Tera Raid Battles.

Using Experience Candy

Experience Candies instantly give your Pokémon a ton of experience based on the size of the candy you used. And in order to get Exp Candies, you need to participate in Tera Raid Battles. Don’t forget to use the lucky egg during these raids. And just like fighting Pokémon, don’t just participate in raids. Assuming you’re trying to reach level 100, your Pokémon should be at a good level and you should have beaten the main game. Thus, you must take part in the following raids in order to receive these rewards:

  • 4-Star Raids: Gives you experience. Candy (M) you have a chance to gain experience. Candy (L)
  • 5-Star Raids: Gives you experience. Candy (L) You have a chance to gain experience. Candy (XL)

These candies give you the following experience.

  • Exp. Candy (M): 3000
  • Exp. Candy (L): 10,000
  • Exp. Candy (XL): 30,000

Once again, I would like to remind you to keep the Pokemon you are trying to reach level 100 holding a lucky egg during the battle. I emphasize this because it gives you 50% more experience than what you normally earn. So you can easily miss out on a lot of it just by forgetting to use it. Thus, the loss of potential experience.
