Netflix owns rights to movies about Beverly Hills Cop
Beverly Hills Cop moved from Paramount to Netflix in winter 2019 and follows the adventures of Axel Foley, a Detroit cop who first appeared in the hit 1984 film that followed him to Beverly Hills to solve the murder of a friend. The film became one of the biggest hits of the year and cemented Eddie Murphy’s movie star status. It was followed by two sequels, in 1987 and 1994.
