Xbox India stock restock expected later this month: here’s everything you need to know

After a long wait, it looks like more Xbox Series X/S stock could be heading to India by the end of this month or early next month. This information comes from Xbox India Lives, an unofficial Twitter account that provides updates on consoles, games and accessories dropping from Xbox in the country. Promotions will most likely be available at regular online stores, Amazon, Vijay Sales, Flipkart and others.

While the PS5 and Digital Edition were regularly restocked in India, Microsoft’s new generation console was a rarity in that country. The last restocking for the Series X/S was back in November 2021. The upcoming addition will be a first for Microsoft in 2022, in stark contrast to Sony’s many additions in 2022 itself.

Microsoft’s communications strategy for games, consoles, and accessories in India has been weak to say the least, but in the meantime, unofficial sources such as XboxIndiaLives have filled the void.

Xbox Series X/S restocking could be scheduled for late April or early May

As IGN India reported back in April 2021, the Xbox Series X/S were the top selling consoles in India in March 2021, which was pretty surprising given how little official information there is from Microsoft. The consoles themselves are pretty solid, especially thanks to Game Pass, which offers a large catalog of games on a subscription model.

The library of native Xbox games has also begun to expand a little with many upcoming high-profile releases such as Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga, Starfield and many more. PlayStation also now wants to compete with Game Pass with the newly updated PlayStation Plus.

Game Pass was supposed to get a price cut in India, with Game Pass Ultimate available for Rs 499 and Game pAss for PC going up to Rs 349.
