The free games giveaway on the Epic Games Store is still ongoing, and today’s game is Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. This turn-based strategy RPG developed by The Bearded Ladies and published by Funcom received critical acclaim during its 2018 launch. The game features the turn-based combat elements of XCOM combined with stealth and real-time exploration.
To get Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden for free, players will need an Epic Games account as well as a launcher. After downloading the launcher, players can create an account and add Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden to their library from where they can download it. This is the seventh game that Epic is calling the Mystery Game, with 8 more titles due to be revealed in the coming days.

The Epic Games Store will be giving away 15 games for free during the holiday season. Only 6 Mystery Games have been released so far, namely Shenmue III, Neon Abyss, Remnant: From the Ashes, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Loop Hero and Second Extinction.
It was quite a selection of games from Epic as the offerings were quite varied. From shooters to immersive card games, the games that have been revealed so far are very diverse. The next Mystery Game will be revealed soon, in about 11 hours. The Holiday Sale promotion is currently also in store, meaning players can get a range of great games at a reasonable price.
It will be interesting to see what games Epic has in the queue and whether they will be lesser-known indie gems or big AAA titles.
